Crossing the Equator Scrapbook

Pictured below is Richard's personal scrapbook of his experiences aboard the USS LST 707 during the Equator Crossing initiation tradition in the US Navy. Included in the scrapbook are a series of photos taken of the crew and initiates as well as Richard's notes and a handful of newspaper and magazine clippings depicting art of this traditional initiation ceremony. The scrapbook and letter were obtained at the Medina Antique Mall in 2021.
